Sandra Backlund brandet her first label in 2004 after graduating from the Stockholm’s Beckmans Collage of Design. She experiments with different materials and techniques, expressing herself through the elaborate handmade designs. She works a lot with the human body in her design as a starting point and finds ways in which to highlight, distort and transform the natural silhouette.
